About the Item
Philips desk lamp dating from the 1950s. Inspired by Charlotte Perriand in the way she designed objects that met the needs of life and were accessible to the greatest number of people. This lamp is in keeping with the post-war Industrial era, with its functional and durable structure, but also its aesthetic and simplistic design using durable materials.
This lamp is no longer produced.
The structure of this lamp is made up of two parts. The half cylindrical shade is made from Bakelite and houses the neon light. It can be turned from front to back to adjust the light intensity. The base is made from lacquered metal and allows the lamp to be clipped onto a surface. There is a push-button switch on the lampshade.
In very good condition, fully serviced by a professional electrician.
