Poul Henningsen Table Lamp Model PH 2/2 'Luna' by Louis Poulsen

About the Item

Limited Edition PH 2/2 Luna. 2023 reedition by Louis Poulsen. 8 pieces available, ship from stock packed in the original unopened box. The PH Luna was originally introduced in 1939 and was known as 'The bedside table lamp', a designation given to the small table lamp by designer Poul Henningsen. The characteristic curved shape of the stem makes the PH Luna recognizable and the brushed brass finish is a soft and classic addition to the opal glass shades. Originally PH Luna was only 230 mm high. However, in this new, limited edition, the lamp has become larger to allow for more applications. The head of the lamp is adjustable. It can be rotated to meet your lighting needs. The lightly brushed brass frame has been left untreated as in the original lamp from 1931, allowing it to acquire a beautiful patina to enhance the table lamp’s authentic look and feel over time. Also made of brushed brass, a go-through switch is located on the base, alongside a brown textile cord that complements the exclusive design. PH’s initials are beautifully and discreetly engraved above the cord. The limited edition comes in brass paired with mouth-blown opal glass shades that create beautiful ambience and add character to any space. A classic, yet playful and figurative design that is unmistakably recognisable as a PH lamp. Due to small scale production of the limited edition series by Louis Poulsen they have proven to become collectable pieces over time. Some of the earlier limited edition pieces have raised magnificent prices already.

Exceptional Studio Alchimia Arc-en-Ciel lamp, designed by Andrea Belossi in 1979. The Arc-en-Ciel lamp is a wonderful example of the postmodern lighting, designed by Andrea Belossi for Studio Alchimia. By Imitating a natural phenomenon it creates a spectacular rainbow in your home. The rainbow pattern is created by a prism that breaks the ray of the halogen bulb into spectral colors that are projected throughout the room. By turning the steel shades the position of the prism and therefore the position of the projection can be leveled up and down, a built-in dimmer allows to adjust light intensity. The entire lamp itself will become hot when in use The enamel steel shields...

  • Poul Henningsen Ph 3½-2½ Table Lamp for Louis Poulsen
    By Poul Henningsen
    Located in Tilburg, NL
Pouls Henningsen PH 3½-2½ Table Lamp. Denmark, designed 1928, new, current production. PH 3 ½-2 ½ Table was designed in 1928 and is one of many development projects undertaken by PH in connection with the development of his world-famous three-shade system. The table lamp is based on PH's original drawings, and comes with the first type of shade holder, with adjustment screws. The top metal shade has a rolled edge, a decorative and stabilising feature that makes the shade appear thicker than the actual material. The two bottom shades are made of mouth-blown opal glass. PH found that this combination utilises the light source more efficiently, directing the light downwards due to the reflection from the white inner surface of the top shade. The frame is brown painted brass giving the lamp the same appearance as the burnished brass lamps of the time – a process that is no longer recommended due to environmental considerations. Material: Top shade: Spun aluminium painted in yellow with a white rolled edge. The inside of the top shade is white. Middle and lower shade are mouth-blown glass. Shade holder: Silk matt...
