Rare Art Deco Desk Lamp in Patinated Brass The Netherlands 1930s This is a very rare and distinct Dutch art deco / Amsterdamse School table or desk lamp in patinated brass. It’s a lamp with an impressive architectural quality and a truly unique appearance. Being a very strict and geometric design at its essence, the abstract ornamental element added to the stem is a playful and stylish addition. Many Dutch buildings from the 1920s and 1930s were adorned with these kinds of ornamental elements, not rarely designed by notable and famous artists and sculptors like Hildo Krop. This lamp surely is a conversation piece when placed on your desk or cabinet.
