About the Item
This lamp is a vintage Regency style pierced burled wood, baluster table lamp
from the second half 20th Century. Beautiful wood grain and patina. The most memorable feature is the diamond cut-outs, which are enhanced with faux-gilt highlights. The wood looks like mahogany, but it has a reddish or ruddy color. The diamond cutouts provide a little window for light to pass through, and the lamp rests on a squared bracket base. The lamp is very heavy, and it has a three-way switch. It has its original wood finial that matches the burl pattern on the lamp. This is an occasional lamp that can enhance many design plans. It is from a Los Angeles estate sale.
