SUPERB! PAIR! TORCH CUT BRUTALIST METAL WALL SCONCES AFTER TOME GREENE A gorgeous pair of brutalist, torch cut electric sconces after Tom Greene. Very rare, these were made in the 1960s, at the peak of the experimental post-modern decor era. They capture the creativity of the period and give visual texture and provide sensory intense illumination. Single socket. Hardwired to wall. Will work with wall switches but also features a switch to control the lamp at the sconce. Very rare design and very low production on these stunning, unique sconces. Fine condition. An extremely rare and coveted sconce set that presents beautifully! This is a magnificent addition to your NY penthouse, Palm Springs atomic ranch or West Palm Beach estate!

Large scale wall sconces by Tom Greene for Feldman Lighting, circa 1965. Brutalist design fabricated in Los Angeles by cutting brass and applying patination with an oxyacetylene torch. Three long candelabra each takes up to 60 watt bulbs, so 180 watts per sconce. In addition, these sconces each have a downward directed patinated cone light concealed behind the sconce between the 6" round backplate which each take a single standard Edison screw bulb.
