About the Item

Vintage neoclassical revival style Borghese table Lamp. The lamp is made of blue / green painted and gilded plaster, probably produced around the 1950's. Borghese was manufactured by Niepold's Inc. in Washington, DC and distributed by Charles Hall Inc. Borghese specialized in making antique reproduction accessory's of plaster, which were beautifully painted and gilded. The lamp has its original high quality socket, harp and finial. The socket insulator has been replaced as well as the cord and plug, which is twisted rayon with a vintage reproduction plug. The lamp still has it's original Borghese label on the bottom. The lamp is approximately 23 3/8 inches tall to the top of the finial, 6 inches wide and 4 1/4 inches deep. The lamp has been fully cleaned and restored and is ready for a new shade and installation in your interior.

    Rewired: The lamp has its original brass hardware, the insulator in the socket has been replaced, the original cord has been replaced with a gold twisted nylon cord and the plug has been replaced with a new vintage reproduction. Wear consistent with age and use. The lamp works and is in good vintage condition, no chips or cracks. The lamp has been cleaned and has its original patina with some slight paint loss throughout.
