About the Item

A pair of lucite and Brass plated lamps of European origin. Of medium size and perfect for a sideboard or for bedside use. They have a light and graceful appearance. Taupe Grey shades are new and included. Lamp without shade is 40 cm/15.75 inches high and 15 cm/5.9 inches diameter. The measures given in the item data below are for each lamp with shade. There are some signs of age, all charming. This is primarily a few scuffs and a scratch to one brass plated lamp base, see images. There is some oxidization of the brass finish on some parts, see images. The lamps each take a single BC (Bayonet Cap) globe, consistent with Australian/NZ electrical standards, and have Australian two prong electrical plugs. A NOTE ON WIRING: This item is wired to Australian/NZ Standard and has been tested and tagged safe for a nominal 230v system (supply of anywhere from 210-240v). Australian and New Zealand buyers must consult a registered electrician for hard wired installation or safety tag will be void. Plug and play if this item is a lamp. This light is compatible with European 220v electrical systems but wire colours may differ and correct bulbs may or may not be readily available. Please check with your bulb supplier before purchase - many are available online. Consult your electrician for hard wired installation or to change bulb sockets (or for plug change if this item is a lamp). In the US and anywhere a 110v system is in place - this light may or may not require rewiring to meet your local safety standards and correct bulbs may or may not be readily available. Please use the information provided to seek advice on compatibility from your locally registered electrician before purchase. They will be able to advise on the potential need for rewiring, bulb socket changes, or if this item is a lamp, for plug change. Before purchase, please check with your bulb supplier - many are available online. Use of LED bulbs is recommended (to prevent overheating and reduce power usage).
