Art Nouveau paneling in Walnut with a wood Fireplace with Ceramic
Located in SAINT-OUEN-SUR-SEINE, FR
This exceptional Art Nouveau style pine and burr paneled room is beautifully carved and decorated with blue-green ceramics. Panels with elegant curved and sober lines are covering the bottom of the walls and harmonize the room to its center; a fireplace and its monumental over mantel mirror carved in walnut wood. The mirror is framed by a dynamic and undulating foliage, a pattern we can also find inside the fireplace in green enameled ceramic, which is highlighting the wood texture. The large overmantel mirror sumptuously raises the space of the chimney, structured with two consoles allowing to place lamps. Two distinct doors are also part of the composition, both surmounted by a small carved wood overmantel...

Antique Rookwood Pottery Hand Painted Vessel Gorham Engraved Silver Decoration
Located in Cincinnati, OH
This late 19th century glazed earthenware mug was crafted in the studios of Cincinnati Ohio's renowned Rookwood Pottery Company and has a traditional form with an ear-shaped handle having a thumb rest. The exterior of the piece is finished in standard glaze and features hand painted decoration executed by highly regarded artist William Purcell McDonald (1864-1931). The decor has an appealing wine harvest theme consisting of grape vines that snake across the surface. The vines are studded with leaves in various shades of green along with two dangling clusters of plump reddish grapes. McDonald's application of paint is slightly raised in places giving the image a dimensional quality. The mug is further ornamented with an ornate silver overlay manufactured by Gorham. The silver decoration covers the handle and rim and includes a series of large etched foliate scrolls and flowers that extend across the body. There is also an eye-catching latticed area that provides a strong visual contrast with the gentle curving motifs found on the other parts of the silver overlay. The underside of the mug has an impressed RP mark along with shape 422 and the letter W. It also carries the incised initials of the artist - W. P. McD - and the letter L. The underside of the silver foot rim is stamped Gorham Manufacturing Co. along with a hand engraved mark reading S 1274 S. This highly collectible Rookwood silver...

Vintage Tall Pastel Pink Art Deco Shell Motif Ceramic Table Lamp
Located in Oklahoma City, OK
A pastel blush pink art deco ceramic table lamp. This piece will be a great addition to a grand millennial style home. It is tall and demands attention! It features an art nouveau or art deco style texture around the base which seems to also look like clam shells or leaves. It has a fluted top and depending on the shade, will more than l likely be covered. It has been tested and works beautifully! We suggest adding a cream color shade. Or if you want to be really fancy, have a custom shade made in perhaps an Indian block print style. Use it on a night stand in a bedroom or in a living room on a vintage faux bamboo side table...

We kindly suggest you read the whole description, because with it we try to give you detailed technical and historical information to guarantee the authenticity of our objects. A lovely and refined set of four fine ceramic ashtrays in the shape of a shell; they were hand-molded, then fired in the kiln a first time, then on the white majolica the inner decoration was done with a delicate shaded blue color at this point the objects underwent a second firing, the outer part was then decorated and finally, the ashtrays were fired a third time to finally fix the colors thus creating four small works of art.
