19th Century Regency Gilt and Ebonized Convex Mirror

About the Item

This convex mirror has a grand scale. The eagle has an ebonized body with a gilt head giving it a striking appearance which show off the feather details. The gilt head on the ebonized body ties in with the ebonized reeded ring making the mirror elegant. The eagle is perched on a gilt plinth that is framed by oak leaves with acorns. The mirror is surrounded with 23 acanthus leaves. The bottom has a carved giltwood foliate with a superb gilt hanging finial.
