Grand Italian 19th C. Architectural Floor Mirror W/Original Paint

About the Item

An Italian large-scale architectural floor mirror, with its original paint, from the 19th century. This antique mirror from Italy is grand in scale, standing just shy of 8.5 feet in height, and over 5 feet wide. This 19th century architectural decoration, which once may have been an entry piece or may have originally had a painting framed within its center, features a fabulous and exaggerated pediment crest, arch-shaped, and supported with iconic fluted columns which step out, flanking the inner mirror (which is a later addition), and rest atop rectangular pedestal bases. The piece is nicely trimmed and dentil molding places visual emphasis on the upper cornice. The wood retains its original faux marble finish and a wonderfully aged patina. This 19th century Italian architectural floor mirror will undoubtedly be an impressive statement piece for your home, in palatial style!
