About the Item

Beautiful floor or full length mirror, from the Empire period, made around 1810 in Austria. This huge mirror is still in its original condition - about 20 years ago the surface was refinished. The faceted mirror plate is original, as is the back wall, which is laid out in floating plates, which was predetermined for this size. The frame is in wonderful design, a spruce substructure was veneered with mahogany - even at the outer corners, there are leaf-gilded oxeye strips that create a very noble look.
