MID 18th CETURY VENETIAN LOUIS XV MIRROR
About the Item
Elegant mirror made by Venetian artisans in the mid-18th century, fully following the Louis XV regency style. This mirror was made of carved pine wood and subsequently gilded with pure gold leaf, thus giving it a precious luminous effect, while the mirrors are mercury silvered. The decoration is truly remarkable, characterized by voluminous floral spirals, which adorn both the lower and upper parts of the object. These splendid spirals end with a refined tuft, giving a touch of further elegance. The peculiarity of this mirror also lies in the presence of mirrors inserted inside the volutes themselves, creating an extraordinary play of reflections and brightness. The refinement and impeccable style of this mirror make it an object of great value and prestige.
