About
Yucca Stuff’s Brazos mirror is dominated by a strong classical arch, which is formed with solid wood voussoirs. To achieve this effect, the mirror was built like a stone arch, and the protruding keystone hints at the method of construction.
When creating a mirror of this design, scale is always an issue – too small appears insignificant, while oversized can be imposing. Yucca Stuff arrived at proportions which make a strong visual statement whilst still being appropriate for a residence.
Like other items in the Yucca Stuff collection, the material palette is intended to be bright and fresh, with Oak chosen for its striking grain and hardness. Blackened steel hardware further adds a textural contrast.. Each piece is intended to grow better with age and patina as it is used. The mirror is a new heirloom – where sophisticated details, simple shapes and unexpected details come together.
