About the Item
Circa 1730-50 George II period girondole mirror, English. Walnut & parcel gilt. Well shaped upper cartouche carving with central gilt acanthus carved crest. Shaped bottom with original finely cast brass candle holder arms & backplates. Molding and gilt work accent the mirror plate (with mercury deposits typical of antique mirrors).
43" h., 23" w., 7" d. with candle holders extended.
