Antique French carved chestnut pier mantel mirror Breton Brittany frame beveled ~ Direct from France ~ A large and lovely antique French wall mirror, in full pier mirror size ~ Beautiful hand carved designs and distinctive Breton style ~ Large crown features carved moulding above a large recessed panel having carved Brittany ‘ship’s wheel’ motif ~ Full scale carved Brittany man and Brittany woman on either side, standing on carved Corinthian capitals. Dual columns are completely encircled by hand carved ivy ~ Carved lower beveled moulding ~ Dark finish and lovely aged patina ~ Another quality antique frame & mirror, ~ circa 1890 Brief note about Brittany Style Antique French Furniture The Celtic roots of the Brittany region of France are manifest in the furniture produced in this region.
