19th Century Napoleon III Champlevé Enameled Gilt Bronze Standing Mirror
About the Item
Small standing mirror with ormolu, or gilt bronze, frame covered in an exquisite design of champlevé enameling, with delicate interlacing and floral motifs. A gilt bronze winged putto adorn the top of this antique mirror glass. It is set on an openwork base decorated with foliated branches and birds. The back part has a sliding display stand as well as a ring to hang the mirror on the wall,
circa 1860.
