  • Art Nouveau French Walnut, Bronze,Crystal, Silver Hatrack & Umbrella Stand
By Eugène Emmanuel Viollet Le Duc
    Located in Valladolid, ES
One of a kind French Art Nouveau piece from 1900. It highlights the aesthetic sensation of a long and curved line, shapes and curls of elegant twists, called "courbes de fouet" lash curves, they are elongated curved lines that bend backwards on themselves. Made of noble wood, walnut, with floral and vegetable carvings, as can be seen in the lower planter or cane where a path of lilies is carved. Different pieces in curved bronze in elegant shapes, embellish the furniture. Duration of barely 20 years. The Art Nouveau movement began in France and spread to all of Europe. In France they stood out, among others, Hector Guimard, Viollet Le Duc...
