About the Item

This antique hand mirror is a stunning piece that once added elegance to a stylish Georgian Lady’s Dressing table. Made in England about 1820, during the late Georgian period. It features two beautiful silvered mirror glasses, one that magnifies, encased in a fancy shaped mahogany frame. The double hand mirror is good sized and showcases a stunning design that was created to catch the eye of anyone who saw it. The mirror is in its original state and has not been restored. The regular mirror has been damaged, but not replace. It is handsomely made of expensive materials and has an interesting keystone shaped mirror on one side and a circular one on the other. The mirror is perfect for those who appreciate the beauty of late Georgian design and the Chippendale details that outline the mahogany frame. The condition is “as found”, with one broken mirror glass, a crack or two in the frame and some wear to the finish. There is a drilled hole at the top of the crest for a missing brass hanging ring
