Pair of Mid-Century French Carved and Painted Trumeaux Mirrors from Normandy

About the Item

Decorate a living room, or an entry with this elegant pair of colorful antique trumeaux mirrors. Crafted in France, circa 1950, each tall trumeau is dressed at the pediment with a thick crown. Each wall piece features a hand carved heraldic crest in high relief; it includes a pair a lions figure sculptures standing on their back feet and holding a family coat of arms. Both narrow trumeaux are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich distressed and patinated painted finish in the pale grey and beige palette. Versatile, they could be placed in a hallway flanked with a pair of consoles tables, or on either side of a window in a living room. Measures: 23" W x 71.25" H.
