18th century Italian hand-carved gold leaf mirror with 18th century Italian wood carved figure of Christ on original mirror. The gold leaf mirror is originally from Liguria. The 18th century Italian figure of Christ is placed onto the mirror to create a contemporary relief sculpture on the mirror. It originally came from an 18th century crucifix in a historic Italian church. The piece is put together by Jean O'Reilly Barlow, the artist and creative director of Interi. The date of manufacture reflects when she created the piece and the period shows that the pair of Italian mirror frame and figure of Christ are originally 18th century. The elements create a historically significant yet contemporary work that can grace any wall or space.
