18th century Spanish Colonial red painted carved frame with beveled glass mirror. This frame has open fretwork with traces of old paint of various colors and the white gesso ground making for a very beautiful surface. The exterior molding painted a lovely pale red with floral designs hand painted on the border. A truly stunning singular piece, a great addition to any room in the house. Peru, 18th century.
