Distinguished Scandinavian Empire Inlaid Mahogany Wall Mirror, C. 1830

About the Item

This fine Empire period Mahogany wall mirror features an upper section centering a socalled Patera oval fruitwood inlay, the mirror glas accented with French style square raised corners and the lower part centering a similar ovel inlay. I dates to around 1830 and is typical for the less pompous style that was preferred following Napoleon I.
