Frame with Mirror and Coping, France, 19th Century

About the Item

The piece in question is an elegant frame with a mirror, with a carved and gilded wooden molding in the upper part composed of a floral decoration and a central medallion depicting a face in profile. The wooden frame and mahogany veneer, is of French scope dating back to the first half of the nineteenth century, around 1840, the state of conservation is good, it shows slight signs of wear due to time. The measurements of the frame alone are 62 x 88.5 cm while the overall measurements with the coping are 62, 113.5 cm.
