About the Item
A French Georgian style carved wood mirror, with its original finish, from the turn of the 18th and 19th century. This antique mirror from France, designed with Georgian influences, features a beautifully pierce-carved wood surround in a shell and foliate motif. The carved details are quite lovely and add a fluidity to the piece. The original finish has a nicely aged patina, with shades of gold gilt, red and a soft off-white creating visual interest and harmony. This late 18th century French mirror, standing approximately 3.25 feet in height, would be great as an over-mantle mirror, or perhaps over a console in an entry foyer.
