Exceptional antique hallway mirror with hand carved lions sculptures.
This stunning, Dutch Renaissance Revival entry hall mirror is a marvelous antique to come home to, but it also helps you to look your finest just before leaving. The very well carved decor of Renaissance elements over the years has only become more beautiful, because it now has a marvelous patina. As you can see in our photos, the original antique mirror too still is in very good condition. This is partly, because the back is covered with a zinc panel. The handcrafted metal nails tell us that this zinc back was never removed, which means that inside is the original antique mirror. The hand carved lion heads on either side and the birds on either side of the flower filled vase are just some of the many, meaningful and decorative elements. The lid to the practical compartment at the bottom still opens and shuts perfectly and the mint condition interior of this 'box' makes this antique even more special. Thanks to the original and strong metal hooks on the back, mounting this antique on your wall is child's play.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. There were old woodworm holes underneith the lidded box and even though we believed they were inactive, we have treated them properly. Other than that this antique could hardly be any better. Please also read our item description.
