Italian Turn-of-the-Century Roman Giltwood Mirror
About the Item
A beautiful Italian turn of the century Roman giltwood mirror. The original mirror plate is fitted within a fine mottled giltwood frame with stunning pierced scrolled foliate movements leading up each side above a fine straight base. The majestic pierced top crown is centered by a most impressive central crest with finely carved designs flanked by superb richly detailed cornucopias, charming flowers, luxuriant scrolled foliate designs and a striking seashell. All original gilt throughout.
