About

Exquisitely designed and carved, an excellent example of Tuscan workmanship showing the delicacy and workmanship typical of the period, the frame raised on tapering legs and flanked by foliate accents and rosettes, the top with bellflowers leading to an upper oval mirrored section, below it a carved mask and above it a beautifully carved and pierced finial, the mirror very possibly from Lucca, Italy. Retaining period two-piece mirrorplates, the upper oval mirrorplate later.
