Contemporary sculptural wall mirror in stainless steel and plexiglass, inspired by Korean architecture — KIWA: Soaring. Inspired by the sweeping curves of traditional Korean roof tiles (KIWA), this contemporary mirror reinterprets the architectural grace of Hanok into a powerful expression of uplift and flight. Each hand-assembled fragment combines stainless steel and color-deposited plexiglass, creating a luminous surface that reflects both heritage and modernity.
Inspired by the sweeping curves of traditional Korean roof tiles (Kiwa), KIWA: Soaring reinterprets the visual power hidden within their form. The mirror transforms the poetic elegance of Hanok architecture into a sculptural expression of uplift and strength.
Composed of layered plexiglass and stainless steel, the piece evokes the moment an eagle rises into the wind. Color-deposited plexiglass, processed with techniques derived from the semiconductor industry, reflects the deep earthen hues of aged tiles while remaining lightweight and luminous. Each fragment is individually cut and hand-assembled, echoing the rhythm of time and endurance.
From the front, the structure appears calm and architectural. But from an angle, its dynamic wing-like form emerges—revealing a moment of flight captured in material. This duality expresses both stability and ascent, tradition and transformation.
Merging craft with contemporary technology, the piece bridges history and modernity in a powerful visual gesture. It is a mirror not only of reflection, but of spirit—anchored in heritage, yet shaped for forward motion.

All pieces by VIATOV are fully handcrafted, using plexiglass that is individually cut, colored, and assembled by hand. As each item is custom-made, we do not keep stock. Production begins once an order is placed, so cancellations or returns are not accepted after production starts.

If an item arrives damaged, we are happy to arrange an exchange.
