A Late 19th Venetian Oval Gilt-Inlaid, Coloured Glass and Etched Mirror
The high shaped crest framed by opposed C scrolls and S scrolls with overlapping leaves above, the glass centred by a gadrooned vase of foliage and flowers, the shoulders with rising leaves and sweeping over the double framed margins with delicately etched foliage, down to the lower glass with conforming decoration and surrounded by further scrolls and overlapped leaves, the whole punctuated by rosettes and pink flowers.
Provenance: Private Old Melbourne Collection since 1990s.
