Swedish early 19th century Neo-Classical st. Ormolu mirror
About the Item
A sensational and high quality Swedish early 19th century Neo-Classical st. Ormolu mirror. The original central double framed beveled mirror plate is set within an Ormolu border with a foliate trim and palmettes accenting the center and corners of each outer panel. The scalloped top has a central oval beveled mirror with a double beaded oval Ormolu frame. Flanking the oval reserve are four small mirror plates accented with additional scrolled foliate designs amidst Ormolu foliate scrolls and garlands. The crown is elegantly decorated by three Ormolu urns filled with blossoming flowers.
