Guido Faleschini for Mariani Set of Bed, Nightstands and Stools in Leather

About the Item

Guido Faleschini for Mariani, ‘Pace Collection’ set of queen bed, two nightstands and two stools, leather, chrome-plated brass, enameled steel, Italy, circa 1975 This eccentric set of one bed, two nightstands equipped with four drawers and stools are designed by the creative Italian designer Guido Faleschini as part of the ‘Pace Collection’ for Italian furniture company I4 Mariani. This set truly exudes the bright and bold vibe and colorfulness of the seventies. The whole unit is wrapped in cognac leather and further furnished with leather straps, underlining its whimsical and lively vibrancy. The design convinces visually through its stabile construction accomplished by the remarkable geometrical shapes and round corners, and above all, the leather which has an incredibly, visual texture. Thanks to its flat surface of the nightstands and stools, the possibility has been created to place one’s belongings on the suggestive frame. Another interesting detail is the integrated lamps, which fit perfectly with the set’s overall language that is characterized by experimentalism and boldness. The set is signed with a manufacturer’s label stating ‘’Mariani 22060 Perticato Made in Italy’’.   Mattress size: 200 x 165 cm / 78.74 x 64.96 inch
