Antique Mahogany Bedroom Set Italian Renaissance
About the Item
This exquisite 5-piece bedroom set features a magnificent king-size bed with an impressive Renaissance-style headboard and footboard, crafted from beautiful Mahogany wood. The bed has a fabulous carved putti cherubs to the Headboard and Footboard. The set and comes with Nine drawers for storage, shelving and x2 hanging rail compartments making it both practical and Unique.
This Amazing bedroom set also includes other stunning pieces, such as a matching dresser, a pair of nightstands, all with intricate heavily carved details. This original Italian antique set from the late 19th century has well maintained and is sure to add a the WOW factor to any bedroom.
The set is heavily carved with swirls and scrolls.
The Bed is a King Size Bed measuring 220 cm x187 cm, with an internal dimension of 170cm x 200cm to allow for a king Size mattress.
The wardrobe dismantles in full for transportation and stands at 220 cm High x 240 cm x 70 cm. There are internal compartments, one houses shelves and the other two have a clothes hanging rail.
The internal depth is 45-51 cm. There are 3 storage drawers all intricately carved below and 2 working keys.
The Dresser has a 4 large drawers. There are some marks to the dresser top, and bedside table top see images. Dimensions 142 x 57 x 105 cm H
The bedside cabinets have a drawer and a cupboard area, The dimensions are 78 cm height x 42 x 58 cm
Condition Report
The Bedroom is over one hundred years old and is in good order for its age, there are some marks and small losses.
The cabinet tops have some wear to the shellac polish, there is also a small mark on the armoire door. The bed crest has several repairs. Please see images.
