About the Item

This beautiful antique bed from Italy is a masterpiece that will add elegance and sophistication to any bedroom. Crafted in the Venetian style, this rectangular-shaped bed features exquisite carvings and a stunning gold-painted finish. The headboard stands at 142cm tall and the footboard at 60cm, the base measurements 160cm x 200 cm making it the perfect fit for a king-sized mattress. The footboard is decorated with a plaque of a gallant scene and the headboard is a hand painted floral display. Its antique charm is further enhanced by the fact that it was manufactured in the 1920s, adding a touch of history to your home décor. This original piece requires assembly upon delivery. A sommier slat bed base or divan would be required to stand inside the frame. Make a statement with this stunning bed that is sure to impress all who see it. Condition Report Beautiful and extremely heavy and well made venetian bed. The headboard has some chips and scuffs and the design looks to be hand painted which therefore lacking symmetric.
