French Classic LXVI Style Bergère Bed by La Maison London 'UK Super King Size'
About the Item
The Bergère bed is a classic, French style, Louis XVI design.
This period was founded on the "Beau Idéal': the idealisation of beauty, based on the purity and grander of the ancient Greeks and Romans.
The bed's frame is embellished with finely, hand carved 'egg and dart' work, French beading and ribboning, all in the neoclassical style. The bed's columns are finished with stylised Fleure-de-lys finials of the period. The proportions and styling of the bed convey a quiet confidence.
All our beds are hand carved and hand finished in house. With customisation as an option.
The price quoted for here is for a US Super kind size (....mattress size) painted in one tone of your choice with a sprung base included (ready for mattress).
Other finishes are available such as: Two Tone/with painted highlights and Two Tone/with hand gilded highlights.
All bed sizes can be made to order.
