About the Item
The Rum Cay is shown in solid mahogany, featuring dramatic deep rope carving on the four posts, rope and knot carving on the recessed panel headboard and dramatic finials all combining to create a sophisticated and unique piece. This bed is available stained and in multiple wood types. Finial options and bolt cover options are shown below. Note that finials change the overall height of the posts.

Scott James Furniture and Design
Scott James Furniture & Design specializes in hand-made furniture covering a range of styles and fabrication techniques. We are most known for our four poster beds using traditional mortise and tenon joinery available in a range of styles from Contemporary to Traditional. We also work in case and accent pieces, side tables and dining tables, utilizing complex joinery, veneers and even caning and intricate carving. We work out of our Tiverton Rhode Island workshop with a group of expert craftsman. We primarily work in domestic hardwoods such as walnut and oak but also specialist in mahogany and other more unique species. We primarily work with Architects and Interior Designers and are open to custom fabrication and projects. Founded in 1984, we have a long history of making modern American heirlooms, with an attention to detail, craft and quality.
