Vintage Modern to Postmodern Arched Rising Sun Pattern Oak & Cane King Headboard
About the Item
Wonderful vintage modern to postmodern arched rising sun pattered oak and cane king sized headboard. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. Several scratches on the arched outer frame have been touched up. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 20th Century.
There is, a house, in New Orleans, they call The Rising Sun…. Oh, come on! Everyone loves that song!!! AND… we also LOVE this fabulous Rising Sun patterned king size headboard. The outer arch frame of the headboard is comprised of solid oak featuring lovely walnut oval butterfly joints… they aren’t shaped like butterflies, but they add a lovely detail and hold the bentwood sections at a beautiful arch. The interior of the headboard is embodied with gorgeous oak veneer and cane “sunbursts” or “rays” with a stretcher between the legs creating extra sturdiness and durability. It is modern to postmodern in style, but it exudes a bit of Art Deco Revival flair as well. It is going to be a wonderful addition to any bedroom or guest room. Simply put your king-sized mattress & box springs on a Hollywood frame, bump it up to the headboard, and you’re ready to slumber in Sun Bursting style!! This oak and cane headboard is too unique and fantastic to let go! Don’t let that happen! Make it yours today!!!!
