An attractive 6ft wide (72 inches) all brass antique platform bed, adapted from an original Victorian frame, circa 1895, with generous proportions providing a sense of spacious luxury. This elegant antique bed is an exceptional example of Victorian-era craftsmanship, with the head panel constructed entirely from solid brass, and solid brass posts and feet. Being a platform bed with no footboard, this bed is perfect for a smaller bedroom, or if you wish to create an open aspect, and is suitable for both period properties and more contemporary interiors. The brass has been recently polished but will fade in time giving a rich mellow hue. It is preferable to leave the brass to naturally tarnish rather than artificially lacquering or ageing. This way the brass can be lightly polished if you wish, or left to age naturally.
