A lovely antique French Transitional two-tier bedside table (nightstand - occasional table - lamp stand) circa 1920s Born in France in the early 20th century, styled in luxurious 18th century Louis XV - Louis XVI Transition taste, with nods to period Art Deco influence, crafted of warm rich mahogany with elaborate geometric diamond parquetry inlays, having a rectangular top with canted corners and partial gallery, over brushing slide drinks tray with inset leather panel, above a dovetailed drawer, flanked by gilt bronze mounted supports, joined by medial shelf, rising on transitional cabriole legs ending in gilt brass front sabots. A wonderful way to add sophisticated elegance, refined warmth, antique character and charm to any space! Dimensions: (approx) 30.75" High, 17.25" Wide, 14.25" Deep Condition Report: Good antique condition with nicely aged warm rich dark patina. Some condition issues, retaining antique character marks and imperfections throughout, including scattered nicks, chips, losses, and areas of old fill, mainly to the front above and below the drawer, all typical wear consistent with age and indicative of moderate use. Not of the highest quality. Overall a charming example, that presents well.
