This pair of small scale mid-twentieth century French Louis XVI style mahogany side tables or nightstands is painted black and features pieced bronze galleries that surround their white marble tops. Each nightstand has three drawers of dovetail construction framed with an inset border of bronze trim and appointed with bronze pulls. The corners of the cabinets are fluted and rest on classic tapered legs finished with bronze sabots. c. 1940.
