Pair of Midcentury Italian Night Stands Black Lacquered, Brass Details, 1950s
About the Item
A pair of elegant Italian nightstands from the mid-50s in very high quality finish.
The original objects had tremendous material damage to the wood and glass that could not be restored as is.
We painted the objects black and replaced the green painted glass with black glass.
The body was gloss black, the metal legs were painted matte black and the solid brass trim was polished up.
There are no handles or fittings the focus is on the legs.
The outer edge of the round legs has been provided with an additional elongated element, which are visibly fastened with large brass screws.
Solid spacers in brass, brass support for the small glass plate on top and the high leg ends in brass make the nightstands objects.
The small furniture looks timelessly elegant due to the high legs, the rounded design language and the dynamic design of the 50s.
The nightstands are stamped and signed, as you can see in the photos.
