1950s color print depicting the Pomilio P.E. biplane of 1917

About the Item

Color print from the 1950s depicting the Pomilio P.E. reconnaissance biplane made in 1917 by the aziensa Aeronautica Fabbrica Aeroplani of engineer Ottorino Pomilio and used by the Royal Army Air Force during World War I. Mounted on faesite and glass stand with metal hooks. Good condition, a few stains and tears. Measurements 60x2x29 cm - inches 23.6x0.7x11.4 Wingspan 11.78 meters, length 8.94, Fiat 300 hp engine, maximum speed km 195 range 3 hours 30. Designed by Giorgio Bigozzi and colored by Massimo Jacoponi both students in the postwar period of the Rome Art School.
