About the Item
Color print from the 1950s depicting the SAML S 2 single-engine biplane, produced in 1916 by the Italian company Società Anonima Meccanica Lombarda (SAML). It was a training and reconnaissance aircraft in use by the Royal Army Air Corps.
Wingspan 12.10 meters, length 8.50, 300hp Fiat engine, speed 162 kmh, range 500 km.
Designed by Giorgio Bigozzi and colored by Massimo Jacoponi both students in the postwar period of the Rome Art School.
Mounted on faesite and glass stand with metal hooks.
