A wonderful 39 volumes set of 18th century Italian Vellum Books. A wonderful addition to any bookcase.

A French set of eleven vellum bound books from the early 18th century. This antique set of six books from France, which were published in Amsterdam, retain their original vellum bindings and will make fabulous decorative objects. Should you choose to use these standing together in a bookcase, side-by-side they measure an approximate run of 1.25 feet, and have an approximate height of 6.75 inches. These four books printed in Latin are covered in beautiful old vellum covers and spines. Each book contains text, margin commentary and pictorial illustration to the fronts pages. All but one is from the same library with like beautifully embossed bindings and like blue colored paper borders. These three had at one point clasp binders now gone or in a damaged state. The final book is vellum bound but not in embossed covers and spines.
