Entrada Drive, Jim Dine, Signed First Edition, Steidl, Göttingen, 2005

About the Item

First Edition, published by Steidl, Göttingen, 2005. Conceived as a single work, this artist's photobook records, through a series of 44 heliogravure-printed black & white plates, Jim Dine's experience, alongside his wife, of a winter in Los Angeles in 2001, living at an address on the Entrada Drive which names the project. Characteristic of Dine's wide-ranging and deeply personal body of work, he creates a memoir of what their eyes saw, in the lush foliage of their garden and beyond, noticing and recording the surroundings which backdropped their thoughts and populated their interior world during one winter. A meditative and sympathetically printed visual account of a moment in the life of this creative and individual figure in contemporary art. Hardback in publisher's original dust jacket. Illustrated in black and white throughout.
