Serrurier-Bovy: From Art Nouveau to Art Deco by Jacques-Gregoire Watelet (Book)

About the Item

Serrurier-Bovy was a Belgium born Architect and Furniture designer who has been credited as being one of the founding fathers of the Art Nouveau style. This book is a photographic documentary with commentary tracing his works. The early years of his career were spent in London where he was much influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement and in particular William Morris. His own business had shops in Liege, Brussels and Paris through which much of his furniture was sold. 133 pages with color and black and white illustrations throughout, text is in English.
