Set of Three 18th Century Vellum Sunday Sermon Books. 1.) Sermoni Per Tutte Le Domeniche Dell' Anno (Sermons for all the Sundays in a Year) by Monsignore Alfonso Maria De Liguori. Naples, Stamperia Abbazian, 1793. Vellum soft cover with Italian text. 308 pp. 2/3.) Tertullianus Praedicans, et Supra Quamlibet Material Omnibus Anni (Every matter for preaching on Sundays) by R.P. Michael Vivien in two volumes. New York: 1707. Vellum soft cover with latin text. 438 pp. and 448 pp. The books in two volumes have what seem to be the parish priest's name hand written on the head, tail and fore edge which is Sandi Francisco. The hand written words ''Cilento'' and ''Silenti'' also appear. They also have bible verse references next to columns of the text. The Italian book measures 1.25''D x 7.5''W x 9.5''H and the Latin books measures 1.25''D x 6.75'W' x 9.25''H. NPT Books, a division of N.P. Four 18th Century Vellum Covered Latin Books

These four books printed in Latin are covered in beautiful old vellum covers and spines. Each book contains text, margin commentary and pictorial illustration to the fronts pages. All but one is from the same library with like beautifully embossed bindings and like blue colored paper borders. These three had at one point clasp binders now gone or in a damaged state. The final book is vellum bound but not in embossed covers and spines.
