Romeo Rega Signed Brass and Chrome-Plated Checkers Game, Italian Vintage

About the Item

This ultra chic and modern signed Italian Romeo Rega vintage checkers game has sculptural components. It is great just even as a decorative object or for real playing the game of checkers. It is from the 1970s. The board is square with a brass inner lip. It is signed made in Italy. There are 12 players of each metal, 24 in total. They are five sided. This is not an easy game to come by anymore. It has been polished to the best it can ever be, but it is not perfect. The players had to be re-plated so there were restoration costs involved to present it as in the new restored condition it is now. There is white felt replace on the bottom of the original green felt that was taken off. Please understand that the two-tone tonal board was only able to be polished slightly as then the variants would then disappear. This is a fabulous sculptural chic modern and modernist game. This is a great piece on a cocktail table or game table. A perfect game and gift to welcome in the holiday season.
