Charles II Carved Crest Of The Arms Of Westminster School

About the Item

A large crest with shell and scroll carved frame enclosing an azure ground with gilded coat of arms featuring a cross with four birds over lions and fleur de lis and Tudor roses. Only difference between Westminster Abbeys coat of arms and Westminster School is two red roses for the school and a red and a white for the abbey. This crest at one time likely hung in the College Hall at the school. See documentation with the posted images.
