1962 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II (SCII) Chassis: SAE 569 Engine: 6230 V8 (284ES) Body: CT5368 Supplier: Jack Barclay Ltd, London W1 Delivery Date: 13th June 1962 Mot and tax exempt The vehicle has recently undergone a full respray and professional interior re-trim. Finished in a subtle two-tone mid over light silver metallic with contrasting Scarlet interior and Fawn Headlining Supplied New by Jack Barclay Ltd of London W1 in 1962 on Registration mark ‘ALK 5’ to the late Mr John Stacey (Solicitor and Auctioneer of 115 Baker Street, London) who owned the car for 40 YEARS the vehicle was then supplied to its next owner by Hadley Green Rolls Royce in 2002 and again in 2003 by Ivor Bleaney Rolls Royce & Bentley specialists. The last owner had the vehicle 15 years (2003-2018) Having the original ‘RR’ build and finishing sheets we can see that the Vehicle was supplied with the following extras: Electric Windows Combined Parking/indicator lights above door pillars Avon tubeless tyres Air conditioning Locking wheel trims (with original key) The vehicle drives as you would expect, with good oil pressure and no unwanted noises from the engine or gearbox. The oil pressure gauge is intermittent so I will have this looked at prior to sale. She rides very smooth, having the more expensive 4-Ply Traditional Tyres and is an absolute pleasure to drive. The front to mid exhaust system has been replaced this year as has the power steering ram and the headlamps have been upgraded for better vision at night. The air-conditioner which cost £577 in 1962, which was incidentally the same price as a Morris Minor, does require a re-gas which can be done at little cost... The interior was re-trimmed by Transcal and has now worn in superbly, a portfolio of works will be supplied with the vehicle. The vehicle shows that it has been cared for its entire life and is not one to be mistaken for a lesser non kept specimen.. Original pump, jack, tool tray, tools, and and original boot tidy cover. Viewing (by appointment only) is highly recommended.
