Vintage Russian samovar doll teapot cosy or samovar teapot cover. This large sized handmade doll has a molded fabric head with painted eyes, red lips and a large green dress with lots of flowers and lace finish. She's holding a bouquet of flowers in her hand and wears a typical hat. Under her dress or skirt you see the quilted cover to place over the teapot to keep warm. Total height of the doll is 21,65 inch or 55 cm - diameter cover is +/- 9,45 inch or 24 cm This large teapot cosy doll for samovar is in good but used condition so has some spots of the tea on the dress and traces of use on the face. Could still be used to keep water or tea warm and is also a beautiful large vintage doll to display between other vintage and antique dolls.

A Measham – Bargeware Tea Kettle impressed with the Blue Ribbon Temperance motto, England, circa 1880. The Blue Ribbon Movement was active from 1880-1882 in Great Britain, Canada, and the United States. The ribbon badge was worn by those who took the pledge of abstinence from alcohol consumption, adopting the term teetotaler. The kettle has a dark brown treacle glaze with enameled, raised and molded floral and fruit applications. The main panel, seen on both sides of the kettle reads, “Sign the Pledge, Don the Blue” The notched lid is held securely in place for pouring. Measham Ware was decorated with floret appliqués and an impressed panel or banner personalized using a printer’s typeface. The pottery, also known as Rockingham or Motto Ware, was produced from the 1870’s by William Mason, a South Derbyshire potter. Often called ‘barge ware’ because it was extensively marketed through a shop on Measham High Street, located near the canal bridge...

Offered here is a whitish/cream colored friction tin toy 911 Porsche circa 1960's, marked at the bottom; "Porsche" in addition to the Bandai Toy Company logo embossed, along with "Made in Japan" designation being noted. The Bandai Toy Company is a post war toy company established in Taito, Japan circa 1950 and is still conducting business today, albeit, it has shifted from toy manufacturing to video toy accessories. This is a very rare toy and is coveted by collectors of both toys and fast cars. Except for the odd and minor scratch here and there, the toy is in very nice, all original condition with absolutely no restoration or touch up to the paint or mechanism (see images). The action and friction functionality works well (see video). Motor and engine mechanics and nomenclature are colorfully displayed through the plastic rear trunk window (see image); while the colorful interior can be seen through the side window. Car is all tin, with rubber tires and plastic windows. Dimensions: 10 1/4" long x 4" wide x 3 1/4" high. Priced competitively; note that this toy doesn't become available very often and the few that have turned up in recent years , don't work and are several hundred dollars more than mine.
